I often get asked where I trained as a photographer. Its usually about half way through a shoot just as we are getting going and I'm always a little apprehensive about saying that I didn't. I trained as an engineer and have a degree in mechanical engineering from the glorious country of Wales, but now I'm a photographer, and I don't do anything else - this is how I earn my living. I have worked for the south west news service, the metro, the times and the sun and I was runner up in the times young photographer in 2008. I take a lot of pictures that get published and a lot that probably don't see the light of day but I really do enjoy taking pictures and my heart lies in documenting life as I see it...
